Phillips move stalled as keeper crisis grows

Dillon Phillips was keen to return to Cheltenham Town where he was a regular between the sticks last season until suffering an injury late in the season. However, the young keeper has been told to stay at Sparrows Lane as the Addicks currently lack a senior goalkeeper: Keeper crisis

Some wags have posted a picture of 'Charlton keeper warming up' which shows an empty goalmouth. However, hopes persist that Isle of Wight international keeper Simon Moore will come to the club's rescue.

With the start of the season looming, the squad looks thin, although the real squad that counts is one that is available on the first day.

Former keeper Nick Pope has talked about what a difficult year it was last season and has questioned the character of some of the Addicks squad [shurely not Roland's imports, ed]: Pope spills the beans
